Lisbeth , yes , you've called it \O Actually , I don't think one can call it a " garden " , rather a farmyard where a lot of different birds come to . Nothing really special about it either , but it does seem to attract a lot of different birds . Regular visitors over a period say of twelve months , count more than 40 different species , plus fly-by's such as hawks , falcons , steppe buzzards , and even an eagle , as we saw ;-)

Here is the view from the front porch , and is as seen from my desk , behind my computer , from where I can also see all the action at the bird-feeder table .
So , not really a garden , the sheep keep the grass short , so I do not plant anything , and I do not plant anything , because the sheep will eat it too O/

Yeaah H.e. Its really tough on the farm . Sometimes I even have to sit on that stoep drowning my sorrows with a couple of frostie's or even a bottle of red wine 0*\

Do you have mountains or just molehills ( from old rehabilitated mine-heaps ) -O-

Well , it was just one of those days again :-) Was sitting on the stoep with a business associate , when a little Cape Grysbok came walking up the vineyard road , stopped for a few moments to sniff at some grass , then casually disappeared amongst the vines O\/ This little guy , is around quite often , but hardly ever seen , except his tracks , early morning in damp soil .

Then , this afternoon , just before 5 pm , my farm worker called me to come and have a look at " a very strange pidgeon ". On further questioning , he said it had quite a longish tail -O- So , along I went , and there was the most unbelievable , incredible sight I could ever have imagined :-?

I ran to fetch my camera , took one picture after another , and more , and more .
I just could not believe my eyes , and frankly , would not have believed unless I did see with my own eyes .

Wow , wow , and wow . never seen so close up , or around here , and in any event , right here on the farm where I could examine its every feature . And I even held it in my hands O/\

Oops , oh , of course , what is it , you ask O/

Well , sorry , so excited to talk about it , that I clean forgot to download from my camera .

So , please be patient until I can do the necessary first , then you can also see what is saw which is so extra-ordinary ^0^
