We must be clear about some issues here.

developer and also the hotelier cannot really
be blamed for participating in this venture,..
I mentioned I would have done the same since
opportunity is up for grabs,...............
However, the host of such ill should be
looked at and questioned?? namely Sanparks!!!

They continuously dangle the carrot out there,
"cause they believe that they are entitled to do so!!!

I believe .gov have a serious problem regarding
the senseless outspoken behavior that Sanparks
Communications dept. have adopted!!

That dept. seriously does not favor and support
.gov in realistic and reasonable info too common
understanding and decision making!!!!

I raise my hat too the developer and the hotelier
you picked a fine here!!!! Hope you don't fall short
includes the EIP,.. practitioner!!!!

I had understood that Radisson were supposed to built the lodge. (That's why the sums did not sum up ) The architectonic presentation had their name all over it

Sanparks delivers the land, a developer constructs and Radisson manages? and then what? They divide the pie in three parts? To me this sounds In fact I never understood the %s that were published. Ja, Sanparks scores all the way. They lease the land to the developer who builds the hotel and in turn leases the hotel to Radison with SP gettingrental on the land and a cut of the turnover until such time as the agreement runs its course, then SP takes the whole lock stock and barrel back.
In this case, they will be taking back a white elephant that will drain their coffers.

Sanparks risks nothing! But the developer and Radisson are not more stupid than we are, so............

Developers have ducked, Lis! They are still looking for funding.

In the past .gov put there a very basic method of requirement
when conducting EIA's!! Too make a long story short, EIA's are
a set of principles laid there taking into account moral ethics!!,
Initiated by .gov!!!in order too provide some norm of principle.
Now right here is where maybe usually the wheels fall off!!! OK.

A committee handling issues of concern is placed there in order
too monitor and suggest alteration to the system, just possibly
too alter concerns taking into account public and nature issues
of concern. A method too expose concern of both expectations
and well being there off. I post for your perusal,.....a clip of the
committee meeting taking suggestions into account that may have
a remarkable effect on any EIA undertaken,.....


Summary:
The Department of Environmental Affairs briefed the Committee on the background to the environmental impact assessment regime. There had been legislation in the past, but this had not been fully satisfactory. Problems with the current regime were that a strategic process was not being followed. There was a perception that environmental assessment practitioners were not partial. There were cost barriers. More authority needed to be delegated to provincial and local level. Interim measures had been put in place.
