I have a hippo pic almost like yours, only the calf is smaller and the water lower There are always lots of hippos there

That's a lot of elephants

Love the hippos, Richprins,

and indeed lot to see at the dam

When the weather is cooler Hippo are more likely to come out of the water during the day.

Back at camp the customary guineas!
Then brunch! One has to carefully balance the giant warped pan on whichever plate might be working!

Then late afternoon the normal stroll down to the pool, with some blurred pics as the aminals stay JUST far enough away!

Then these wasps down at the toilet building!



And we left on the evening drive, with a rare accompaniment by Momprins!


The Faai Loop clockwise, with a kudu eating the dried seed pods of a sicklebush...caught in the act!:



It really is pretty there at the beginning!
