22 – The Beauty of KNP

Staying in KNP for several weeks offers interesting sightings but also nice scenery, landscapes or other special moments.

So let’s go through KNP and showing some of these scenes, moments and beauties.

Close to Lower Sabie… elephants crossing the river

In danger, but so good to see a Rhino mother with baby

-

And even if we don’t like their behaviour in the camps it’s lovely to see two mothers taking care of their babies together somewhere along the road.

Talking about youngsters…. This young innocent zebra was curious and was just near our car…

It’s not just cats or tuskers (smile) signing for the beauty, what to think of this small chameleon , just near the road …… looking who is capturing him (or her)

Landscape and lion? Or “Lines” and “Lion”

You see them often…Kudu…. But sometimes they show how beautiful they are …the way he walks…

Between Satara and Tshokwane (S33) bird busy with “breaking dung” on the search for food… it’s just the moment…

After the first rain in november….waiting for the flowers… one day still nothing…the other day suddenly this red colour

Back in kruger October 22nd till November 11th 2015

Mmmmm about 3 weeks to go and Fly > Drive > Kruger

Like the Beatles and the Doors..... Hello / Goodbye and This is the end.....

Last story is a summary of highlights of our last trip.
Putting it all together is was a lot of highlights

Starting with the pets in the camps (story 01) , special was the mother AWC showing her baby...

One of my personal highlights was being together near Mopani with a Leopard mother and her little cup (story 02)

and another one with meeting tusker Mandzemba (story 03)

-

-

We have seen a lot of lions during this trip. This was early morning in the S28 area (story 04)

And then ...Cheetah , we have seen them 4 times in total , most special ones were near Mopani (story 05)

and even more special the mother with two small cubs in the Lower Sabie region (story 09)

And yes another special , meeting Eland and Roan at same location and together (story 10)

In the south a private leopard... posing for some time (story 11)

Breathtaking was the Lions with 3 kills in about 45 minutes. (story 12) Could not believe my eyes but is was real

Two amazing stories about the Painted Dogs (story 08 and 13)
Last one was amazing ... on hunt with them for several Km's ending up at the Lookout...

Special it was... this super 7 day with Rhino, Elephant, Painted Dogs, Cheetah, Buffalo, Lions and Leopard (story 14)

After having seen Eland and Roan... Sable was missing but near Pretoriuskop we had luck again (story 19)

-

Ending with some more lions.... dirty ones (story 21) and In love (story 18)

and in Love ... as we all should be with someone or something, caring & respect

-

-

This is the last episode of last trip , just before we leave for a new adventure in kruger .....

So Goodbye for now and Hello for soon..... hoping to post some new stories
