&%&^(9%$^*(**^*&^%#!!!!!!

I dutifully replied to each of you in a single post and the connection dumped it in the bitbucket. I hate redoing work so I'm just going to say to you all....

Thanks for the comments, next episode coming up soon.

I had computer bug problems last night, the insect kind! Thousands of them were drawn to the computer screen and were trying to burrow into the keyboard, so I had to close down and continue today.

Still being inundated with bugs but luckily they don't bite, they just get everywhere, the only good thing is they aren't stink bugs. Here's a pic of tonight's infestation which isn't as bad as last night.

Meanwhile, I've managed to position myself far enough away from the light so that only a few of the little critters are attacking my screen.

Here's the posting for yesterday's sightings.

Day 2. Mopani -> Shingwedzi.

We decided to stay in camp this morning and see what we could see.

This was the leftover from a gekko's meal during the night.

Image

And some ants were getting a meal of their own.

Image

There are lots of butterflies around, here's a Citrus Swallowtail - especially for Flutts O0

Image
Image

Hopping around in the undergrowth were some Waxbills and this Jameson's Firefinch

Image

with lots of Butler's False Tiger Moths amongst the blossoms.

Image

Looking more like a dinosaur, this Giant Plated Lizard gave me a warning 'hrrumph' when I got too close.

Image

On the way to Shingwedzi this Ostrich family were at one of the waterholes.

Image

After setting up camp, we took a drive down the river road. The Kanniedood Dam is empty!

Image

But further downstream there are quite a few pools of water.

Image

This fish looks a bit too big to swallow, but it went down in one

Image
Image

A little further along we came upon the oldest Buffalo I've ever seen

Image
Image

Last but not least on the other side of the river bed, a group of Dugga Boys who were in the company of an Eland which ran off before I could get my camera on him.
