Totally right - We always can spent hours in watching the hyena babies

Ja, it often happens that it is cloudy and cool after a hot spell.

And even got wet that day That "waterhole" action was in fact a wonderful sighting

Totally right - That is what they do make so interesting

Gladly to our delight they were totally relaxed and did not felt bothered in any way.



So we snapped happily away and soon got shot after shot from the still sleepy adults





and some comical from the adults or youngsters.





We could have stayed with them far longer but somehow the traffic started to annoy us and therefore we left them but still with heavy hearts.



At least another cuteness factor did not long in coming as a very curious mongoose was eying us suspiciously



and after we have been proved as reliable same even came close



and allowed us to take some shots.



Our ride along the S65 was far too soon already over and we were into the direction of Skukuza camp again for a short toilet break but for sure came across a huge elephant bull



and lots of impalas.

As it was still far too early to spend the rest of the day in camp we gave our so called magical quadrat over the high water bridge and back via the low water causeways maybe with a small detour via the S30 a try and so was the plan. Along the Sabie we came across a beautiful nyala bull,



a steppe buzzard,



a grey heron on a branch



and a couple of red faced mousebirds who were indeed not easy to photograph.



It was gladly carwise quiet and so we could photograph extensively without being disturbed by other passengers in cars asking us what we are looking at and only to reply “little bee eaters”



when most likely the bird you just tried to photograph took off



but these cuties posed for us like mad.



Meanwhile it clouded extreme over and got already very windy and as it was still early enough we for sure turned into the S30 to drive that road especially when same is still leading along the Sabie.

We spotted a large group of zebras,



giraffes



and a lone bushbuck lady in one of the shady loops in which it was nearly pitch dark due to the approaching and threatening dark clouds.



We simply love those many loops along this road as normally there is always something to be seen as for example in the next one as a group of white helmet shrikes had just landed



but the highlight we then found in another loop in which we found she.
