Dr Zambatis has found the tree!
Hi RP
My husband has just sent me a message the tree is Philenoptera violacea (=Lonchocarpus capassa) Apple leaf. My husband says the giraffe were browsing off it when he found it.
Have a good day.

On we go then!
We reached the end of the road, and had no idea where we were, especially as there were no signs...
Frew: "Where are we?"
RP: "Err..."
Mam: "Don't worry, Frewells, His Grace knows best!"
RP: "Yes!"
Frew: "Ok, so which way?"
RP: "Err...keep turning right all the time, we should hit Bangu that way, then we know where we are!
"
Mam: "Oh, Your Grace!
"
Soon we were on the S-90...it is very wild there!
I hardly ever take any cloud pics, but the dappled light was spectacular!
The Lebombos!
And we duly arrived at Bangu, without meeting a single vehicle all the way1

This is another of those confusing windmills that may or may not be dry....the giraffe came to check the trough hopefully, but no dice!
We settled down to have a bit of padkos, as we had overcatered a bit as usual and there were some giant lamb boudtjops left from the previous night!
One may even have been tempted to have a spot of tea...it was incredibly pleasant weather-wise, and deadly quiet and peaceful!
Suddenly a giant appeared!
It had REALLY big teeth!

Frew: "Your Grace! It are a tusker!"
(Frewells is Afrikaans after all!

)
Mam: "Your Grace! Take a photo!"
Unfortunately, at this juncture, His Grace's camera's batteries went dead, or to put it more precisely, apparently should one battery be flat, it won't work even though the others are new, and His Grace only had 3 new batteries in his Graceful Basket!
But we never give up at Africa Wild, and I hit on the idea of taking the battery out of the mouse of the laptop. So eventually and gracefully we were sorted!
Frew: "Are you going to clean up at the back there, Grace? It is now a mess of chop bones, batteries and tea?...
"
RP: "Silence!"
The elephant was able to stretch down to a bit of water at the bottom of the reservoir, while the giraffe looked on VERY jealously!
Here they pretend to eat and not look stupid, but they certainly weren't eating and eventually left!

Homework: What tree is the one in front of the reservoir?
