Amazing luck, Michele! ^Q^

And great pics, still can't get over all the green spots! :-0

Ja, I'm not into getting up early myself... ;-)

Pretty queleas and a nice camping setup, as Gavin says.

What exaggerated cheetah sightings, three in a row presenting four cats

The Quelea colours against the green of the tree make a marvellous picture ^Q^ ^Q^ Also the heron is not bad \O

As I mentioned earlier we found a great campsite. We were at the backing onto the swimming pool...the view from there is lovely especially when the sun sets. We were sorted in no time and decided that we would drive to Marie's in the late afternoon. It was a very quiet drive there but so good to be back. The waterhole was devoid of life bar a lone squirrel.
This was all the entertainment I needed while I sipped on a Savannah.
And this certainly was the most beautiful tail I have ever seen on a squirrel..not sure I have even noticed the patterns before.

This cute creature was terribly busy munching away on seeds and other plant material.

There were tons of these black seeds around and the squirrel was certainly enjoying them. Obviously some or other flower that has gone to seed but I am not sure of the name.

The waterhole was quiet except for Cape Sparrows...they did make for a pretty picture though.

The only other visitor was a PCG. He sat in the tree for a long time just staring at the waterhole. Eventually the bird flew over to the waterhole and sat on the edge but never did have a drink of water..needless to say the sparrows disappeared.

We ambled back to camp and yes enjoyed a Jaeger around the fire...... X#X
