We saw a cuckoo landing inside a bush and Timon only got that single shot whilst same popped out from time to time between the leaves.

Then we had a another fantastic time in watching a weaver male promoting his just finished nest and he even was successful in attracting a lovely female examining same precisely.

This was then again whilst we were causing a traffic jam and each car asked at what we were watching and after pointing out the weavers to them

we only got head shakes as answers. At least we had great fun in watching these busy birds

Although we in fact did not stay extreme long at sightings and moreover had all in all a more than quiet day it was somehow again close to 03.00 o’clock in the afternoon and I still cannot realize how fast the time can pass by when inside the park. At least whilst now driving the S28 in whole length the sightings of larger animals got slightly more and we came across a grey giant

and finally managed to get a picture of the always so busy flying from branch to branch bird – a Paradise whydah.

Wattled starlings were also buzzing around in large flocks and compared to these active birds the lapped faced vulture was having a lazy afternoon.

As we would not have much occasion in paying a visit at Ntanamyathi hide we paid a visit there right now and as so often whilst entering a hide not much seen right from the beginning but the longer you look around the more came visible such as this woodland kingfisher with kill,

two green-backed herons nearly hidden in the thick vegetation
