I only book about 4 weeks maximum in advance and I always find a place to stay.

That's strange -O- -O-

I have been in contact with Siyabona Africa a number of times in the last 4 weeks and eventually got to speak to the "senior staff" and they insist that they don’t have preference and can only book 11 months in advance just like the rest of us, so it points back towards something else IMO O**

Siyabona are a bunch of crooks.
You pay way too much and they do not inform the visitors of other costs involved.

Try and book the following during school holidays and if you get it correct I will pay you R1000

Skukuza GC4V or GW2 or Elsie Clark - 3 nights
Satara GC6BD - 3 nights
Lower Sabie FU4V or FU5 or EH5 - 3 nights

I have tried for 6 years now to get the above trip and haven't got it correct, even with my brother standing in line at 6am in Northcliff, me in KZN and the Cow's on the phone. Why, because those units are already gone prior to "OFFICIAL" opening. O** O**

For those of you who still have access:

Point No 5 is particularly telling.

Essentially SANP's representative did not deny that certain companies have priority booking............

A Sanparks representative also posted this below
Dear All;

All divisions of Sanparks open at the same time which is 11 months in advance for Year in advance bookings. The only exception is made for conferences who take up the whole camp and this is authorised by our ME for Tourism. No tour operator has preferential treatment, and as their peak season does not coincide with ours, it would be fruitless and would not make good business sense for SANParks.

Please remember that when we open for bookings there are 300 consultants making bookings at once ,and this does not only slow the system down but also blocks all incoming call as it chokes our switchboard.

It’s amazing as it’s the 1st of August 2012, but as of 8:30am this morning the availability section on the SPF doesn’t allow one to view July 2013. -O-

Has the policy suddenly changed? :-?

I stood in the queue again this morning at the KZN office and even though I was 1st in the queue couldn’t get a 5 sleeper unit at Satara, Lower Sabie or Skukuza for the July holidays next year and due to the fact that suddenly availability can’t be viewed for that month one can’t even scratch to put another trip together O/ O/

BC, Ithinl it is time to look at other holiday venues. SANParks have lost the plot!

I will NOT spend another cent on their under maintained accommodation.
