@Richprins-
Do you want the details? I am sure you do
Over the last 4/5/6 years, hubby and I have started to go away over Christmas for two reasons: Our families are far away (Christmas without family is not Christmas for the northern pagans ) and the weather at home is cold. It started with three weeks, then we went to South Africa and three weeks were not enough anymore....it was still darn cold when we came back. Little by little it has become more and this year we have arrived at three months. Normally we go to places where the weather is hot, but due to Fa's ordeal and many operations this last year, I was afraid to leave Europe and go too far away. So what to do Find the warmest place within Europe and that's what we have done!
Other questions?

Santa Luzia....A few Km. to the west of Tavira
We parked the car next to the canal and crossed it to reach the long wet land island that separate the canal from the sea.
From the bridge
Edging the wetland..
Common Redshank?
Idem
and once more
A kind of white-fronted plover
Wood sandpiper
view of a piece of wetland

Re: "Catch of the day" from Algarve
Now dear pupils I beg you to watch carefully the fine lines on the rump, the bright red legs and tell me what it is........
After quite a long walk we reached the beach
In summer it must look quite different with umbrellas, beach chair and too many people There were bars, restaurants, cabins etc. .....empty apart from one bar not even too crowded.
The cemetery of the anchors
Thousands and thousands of shells in all sizes and colours, some very beautiful
The tide making strange patterns
A crested lark. there are many around, but the are so fast
A sparrow on an anchor
We took the train back to the bridge as my back was complaining

A typical ex house of a fisherman, but most refurbished to holiday houses and a corner of our Rolls Royce
A guy trying to "shoot" an octopus, but first he has to find one
No food pics today, we had brought sandwiches from home, which we ate on the beach
