Just love your first drive, you had an absolute great birding drive with all the sunbirds and ground hornbill
Just hate those southern roadblocks hey
The close-up opf the reed cormorant is super
I do agree about Phabeni which is hectic most of the time, it is a great gate and the S1 has produced a lot of wonderful sightings but I don't like how busy it is in the mornings

reflection shots are fantastic

These reflections are incredible and the PKF sequence even more

I loved it! It's just a pity that it's not so easy to get to unless you get a bank loan and stay at Biyamiti.

It was one of those occasions where I couldn't go wrong, I must have over 50 good shots of PKFs hovering. Some were really close, almost full frame on my 500mm.

A quiet morning until the weir and then some fantastic pics

It was that! Our good sightings in the area between the H3 and H4 are sparse. Not a great area for us - I much prefer the S28/S130/S137 in the south.

Brilliant PKF photos BT.

Love the relection shots - on the day we were there the wind was blowing so no chance of a nice reflection.

Having the right conditions helps! It was almost perfect that day!

HA! I wish I was on holiday all the time, unfortunately I have to spend much time in the salt mine so I can go on holiday!

It's funny how people have their favourite areas. Mine are usually as far away from the south as possible (with the exception of the S28 area).

My favourite drives in the park are :-

1. Pafuri Picnic spot to Crooks Corner.
2. Kanniedood Dam road to Dipeni Outpost.
3. S28/S130/S137.
4. S90 south from Balule.
