Great pics harrys and Sharifa!!

We last saw wild dogs on the H7 in the 80's and it was the first (and only) time we saw a wild dog kill. The dogs were chasing impala between the cars and I still clearly remember an impala jumping over the bonnet of the car in front of us!

This is the only road I know of where a tourist vehicle was actually attacked by a lion!
In the 80's, a mating pair was interrupted by a car, and the male got angry and jumped onto the bonnet and dealt out some punishment!
No great harm done!

I have spotted dogs, leopard, civet, jackal, badgers, plenty lion and all the usual, but never cheetah on this road. I need to dig out the pics
I find it hot and cold

There has been a pretty resident WD pack around the middle of the road for many years, but also a Satara pack earlier...nearer the Eastern end of the road...
But I think they chop and change a lot!
To add to that, and I could have sworn I said this somewhere, the H-7 is a road of three parts...
First, from Orpen along the Timbavati River, then a desolate stretch after the S-36 intersection, then more animals once one enters the Delagoa Bush and savannah near Nsemani Dam and beyond!
