Great sighting....again ;-)
I think the first lioness was older - she didn't have the youngster spots like the other. So probably a mom and her 2 sub-adult offspring. We wondered whether they were part of the Vurhami pride and had temporarily moved away from the main group -O-

They are still quite spotted, cute!
Yep it was a nice relaxed sighting once the lions stopped charging all over the place lol

Once we got the right side of the lions and had them walking towards us the light was fantastic \O
Richprins wrote: Thu Aug 15, 2019 5:17 pm Great luck again, Peej! X#X

I love the airborne version! lol

And nice to see them not just sleeping! O:V
Flying lions... new species =O: =O:

Bum shots to begin with as we struggled to keep pace with them lol
Nice of them to calm down a bit for us ;-)

Fri 29th June contd

We turned onto the S130 and not far along the road look who we found O\/ O\/

Image

The baby giraffe from the sunset drive had survived its first night and was looking much more stable on its legs O/\ O/\

Image

We also caught a good sighting of a burchells coucal warming up O:V

Image

Driving along there was a strange-looking object in the road that I swerved to avoid. It was no more than about 4cm in size, and from the car we couldn't quite work out what it was, but the pics suggest it was some kind of inflated frog or toad -O- 0:

Image

At the northern end of the S130 we had a hyena pop past the car

Image

We were in two minds whether to go along the H4-2 or continue along dirt roads via the S137 & S28. The dirt road option won and along the S137 we had some nice sightings of general game, as well as a purple roller and what like some kind of squirrel mexican standoff lol lol

As we moved on to the S28 we enjoyed quite a big bull elephant slowly sauntering towards us. He was in musth but still appeared to be very chilled \O

The inflated marshmallow is a bushveld rainfrog, very cool find ^Q^ ^Q^

The giraffe on the second day looks quite well adapted, amazing how quick they learn \O

Yes, Peej! That is the "Game of Thrones" frog, unusual to see in the middle of the day!

Ai we had a thread on it somewhere in the old days! ..0..

It doesn't have to be so swollen up all the time! lol

Lovely to see the giraffe survive, I suspect it is a a nightmare for the parents on the first night! O-/
