Re: Stories from Tar Roads and From Spots

So we first turned around with the car in order to maybe finding her again but today it was easy as already the passengers in the other cars in front of us had their cameras already at the ready and fired away as she decided to pose extreme photogenic for the audience around her on a fallen branch on the road side.

Image

In the beginning she only was busy in cleaning her fur and looked into other directions

Image

but finally she had an insight and looked into the direction of the audience.

Image

As experience often on that road in the early morning there was a come and go with cars whereas most came from the direction of Paul Kruger gate with employees or delivery vehicles

Image

at least all these could enjoy the beauty on the branch as well after she made again a break from cleaning her fur and even laid down completely on the branch.

Image

After a while the feet needed to be cleaned as well

Image

at least we enjoyed that wonderful sighting once again and she was so relaxed although that road was so busy

Image

Image

but I am sure she enjoyed to be admired as well.

Suddenly even a couple of raindrops came down as well

Image

but she stayed extreme lazy as it was only a short shower and indeed not worth to mention.

Image

Most of the cars stayed as long as we and took again picture after picture but after more than half an hour our beauty decided it was enough and jumped down and could no longer to be seen anymore.

Image

WoW what a morning again and once again the area around Skukuza delivered. We carried on and somehow could manage to take a picture of a speckled mousebird in a thick bush

Image

and also a buffalo was willing to pose.

Image

As already supposed our beloved S65 was still close so we had to turn around and drove back the same way we came but that was not a problem as luckily camp is not that far and whilst driving back a couple of giraffes appeared on the scene.

Image

An extreme short body break at Skukuza was needed anyway and we decided to drive our plan B that day that was via the S21 which we hoped was open as we noticed pins yesterday on the sighting board along that road. First we turned into the S114 also a nice drive and we soon stopped for a bateleur in a tree

Image

followed by a couple of extreme lazy hyenas

Image

who again were wonderful to watch as the whole

Image

clan was so relaxed

Image

and simply enjoyed the lovely morning.

Image

to be continued……

It was indeed bearable - I guess that day we had max 30 degrees - During this trip only few days were extreme hot \O
