Ja, Pumbaa, the baby hippo get orphaned when the mom dies of hunger, unfortunately... :-(

Shame no grass to eat for that hippo :-(

I wonder how they spotted that leopard :-? Surely you need eyes like a hawk to spot that :-?

Lovely close up of the kingfishers and crested barbet ^Q^ ^Q^

Lucky shot of the catfish \O Not nice to see a hippo being devoured
I was feeling sad for the dead hippo but that is nature O-/

I wonder who spotted the leopard...not so easy to see. ^Q^
In fact I on first sight only saw the tail - Maybe she is seen often in that tree and the guys from the Safari tours do know where to look for her O\/

For sure that tree did not help to spot her - She was very well camouflaged X#X

I was so shocked to see the nearly no grass area in Kruger this year - The Leopard did not move often so when lying motionless in the tree you could overlook her easily :ty:

Another advantage must have been the position of the tree she chose as same was from the tar road not visible and although we heard a lot of cars passing by we only were in total 3 cars at that sighting, as otherwise after a huge traffic jam she might have decided to leave and search for a quieter place to rest.

Image

So we simply could admire her whilst her eyes got heavier and heavier and on top that crotch in the tree looked simply extreme comfortable that she was not willing to leave same just like a private balcony.

Image

Although it did not happen much whilst our beauty was simply changing her sleeping position or presenting us her sharp claws we had simply had a fantastic time in watching her as this leopard sighting was the cherry on top that day.

She posed like mad and could satisfy each and everyone taking pictures of her standing at that sighting.

Image

Image

In between we also knew the true promise of her beauty as she had to do an urgent and extensive stretch

Image

but it took not that long and she again made herself comfortable in her cosy home

Image

Image

and we still get not tired or even bored in watching her and also the traffic jam did not took place.

to be continued.....
