10 day Solo Kruger adventure – what would you do?

Seeking suggestions of what you would do for a solo 10 day adventure in Kruger.
After a 10 month career break I am back into work big time. (A TT of my travels in Australia is being updated less frequently than I’d hoped but we will get to the end sometime I promise). I will accrue some day’s holidays before the end of the year and the thought of not visiting SA and Kruger in 2014 leaves me feeling bereft. So I’ve booked holiday between 3rd and 14th December and decided to head off to Kruger. Just fly South, rent a car for me and my tent, leaves all worries and work behind and go where the breeze takes me. Some thoughts on what I like to do. On trips like this I like to maximise my time in the park. I never been north of Letaba as I’ve been saving that part of Kruger for a ‘special trip’. I want to do that with my lovely and the opportunity hasn’t arisen yet. I like to avoid the crowds. If I see a few cars looking at sleeping lions I drive right on by. I love the quieter roads particularly where I can park up with the windows open just sit, muse and see what comes along. I also don’t want to pack and move frequently and I love elephants. I can sit at a waterhole and watch them all day.
Before I share my thoughts of what I’m thinking I’d love to hear yours. I need to book flights and accommodation soon so prompt replies appreciated.
Thanks,
Seiont
Mel – it’s all your fault!

Visiting Australia first and then SA makes me green with envy! I am a greenie so I suppose that is OK.

I would say Shingwedzi as you will have power, area is normally quite and you have the river road to drive to see Elephants and just chill under trees and there is also a hide, just remember it is much hotter to the north than the South and also the humidity is a factor to the North

I profusely apologize that I made you go to Kruger this year! How dare I doing that to you.
Cannot recommend anything though. I'm the strictly no Kruger type. One of the very few.
