Why didn’t you just pull in to the unit Flutts. We don’t sleep in the day

I ducked with the rats to the shop at some stage that day, but the Cow should have been around

You just had to drive another 2km or so for the dogs

You had to put up the pic of me drinking my “coffee” again

BC, we peeked around the corner of your unit and it was all quiet so assumed you weren't there...we expected lots of noise to be coming from the clan's unit!! Don't remind me about your dog sighting!

The Chinese tourists have been elected as the worst of the year The "lady" with her feet up comes up as a close second

Lis, these huge tourist groups are a nightmare!! RP probably gets on everyone's nerves at some stage!

Thanks nan. I find Skukuza fine when we're at our bungalow but the deck can be crazy in season.

Sorry this TT is dragging a bit...time to get moving again!

Even though we'd had a late night at the gathering we were still up at 5.00 to be out the gate early. We got to the gate at about 5.45 and found a long queue there already! We had decided to head down the H1-1 to see if we could find BC's wild dogs and then turn back at Transport dam. Most cars turned left towards the H4-1 and we were the third car to take the H1-1, but the other two turned down the S114 so we were on our own! We saw some ellies in the road, and then came around a corner and found this...all to ourselves!



There was the big black-maned male, two large females and three teens. All, apart from the male, were rolling in elephant dung!













We had them to ourselves for about 10 mins and then more cars started arriving, so the male decided to duck and the rest followed! As they disappeared Heksie drove up next to us, saying she knew she should have got up earlier!

We carried on towards Transport Dam where we found Mike Goss and SO. They had done the S65, so they also missed the lions. There was a Jacana and I realised this is the first pic I've got of one!



There was not much going on so we headed back up the H1-1 and found two hyenas - I think this was the first pic I'd got of a hyena on this trip.



Then another first (in Kruger) - a Coqui Francolin...I've only seen them in Pilanesberg before!
