I had a quick check of the sighting, and it's around the red circle on the map below... so I'm assuming this new road is what you see there on the satellite pic going west from the S65 down to the H1-1, joining about 2km west of the road down to Transport Dam? Would make sense that the hyenas were seen close to the H1-1 entrance as there's a den site just around that area as well.
