After a full long day game driving, this was the last sighting of the day. On the H2-2, near Skukuza. A newly released Lichtenstein hartbeest. Look at the marks.

They were released from Malawi and released around Klopperfontein Dam , Punda Maria in about 1995 and are doing OK .. See them most trips up there >> They also released some of the Punda Lichtenstein H's in the old Rhino Camp near PK and released them a year later when they all died apart from 2 females >> Too many Ticks for them so this one pictured is the only survivor and is hanging on by a thread in an area Not suitable for them

They were imported from Malawi and relaesed in about 1995 around Punda Maria >

Amazing I see there are a whole lot in the South now but out of PK area .. Must ask Don when they arrived
