A Crocodile is a
Reptile
Reptiles are a group of scaly-skinned, cold blooded animals that includes lizards, snakes, tortoises, turtles, crocodiles and aligators.
Most reptiles lay eggs and always on dry land.
Like other reptiles, crocodiles are cold-blooded
A crocodile’s physical traits allow it to be a successful
predator.
Predator: An animal that hunts other animals
The crocodile's external morphology is a sign of its aquatic and predatory lifestyle.
Its streamlined body enables it to swim swiftly, it also tucks its feet to the side while swimming, which makes it faster by decreasing water resistance.
They have webbed feet which, though not used to propel the animal through the water, allow them to make fast turns and sudden moves in the water or initiate swimming.
Webbed feet are an advantage in shallower water, where the animal sometimes moves around by walking.

Crocodiles are very fast swimmers, which helps them catch their prey.
They can swim up to 20 mph (32 kph) and can hold their breath underwater for around one hour.
On land, crocodiles aren't nearly as fast. They can only run up to 11 mph (17.6 kph) for
a short distance..
Crocodiles vary in size.
Largest crocodile species is Saltwater Crocodile which can reach 13-18 feet in length and weigh up to 2200 pounds.
Smallest crocodile species is Dwarf Crocodile which can reach 5 feet in length and weigh up to 40-70 pounds.
