Are the dogs part of the breeding/re-introduction programme?

Hi Dewi, we asked exactly that question and the answer is no. They said it would be very difficuly for theses animals to survive in the wild.

Hmmm? That's a strange reply from them as captive Wild Dogs are regularly reinstated into the wild when they are "introduced" into a group of dogs who have been in the wild. It's a tried and tested method, developed in SA?

Maybe they were all injured animals?

Well well, we have now learnt a lot more about this reserve. We had no idea that there was such a variety of game there.

Fantastic sequence of the BSK vs 2 x Crows. ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

Lovely photos of sable, eland and the wild dog sequence excellent.

Have also visited here a couple of times and while there is nice game to be seen they do also have cub petting and breeding of lions and tigers... so not on my list anymore..
