Nice jeep jockey Flutts ^Q^ ^Q^ You'll have to behave in the park or you'll earn them a bad name 0' 0' =O:

They have also been using bee hives in Addo to try and deter the elephants from pulling down Harveys Tree. Very mixed results so far... O** O**

What have bees and elephants to do with each others :-? They should have put an explanation up as well
Holding thumbs for my car Lis! \O Mommo is very specific about the braai! O**

Great pics again, Flutts! X#X
The boy had a haircut at the end of the holiday and the ballet shoes are those secret socks...he never walks barefoot and hates looking at feet (even his own) so he always wears those silly socks!! 0-

Jeep jockeys have earned a bad name all on their own!

With regards to the beehives I know they have been used successfully to deter elephants from populated areas, crops etc. but I'm really not sure why they are trying to deter them from watering holes!! -O-

Skukuza/Lower Sabie Area

Our morning drive was up the H1-2 back over the high level bridge and down to Lower Sabie, where we would decide on our return route.

Our first stop was for this Giant Kingfisher at the low-level bridge on the H1-2.

She was with a friend. ;-)

We tried the Maroela loop but it was quiet. We turned onto the H12 and it wasn't long before the Brat screamed STOP!! A sleeping kitty had caught his eye! :-0

The Brat was extremely chuffed with himself, as were we...it wasn't such an easy spot. O:V

Another car approached and we pointed the leopard out but they took a quick glance and carried on. -O- Anyway, better to have it to ourselves! :-0 Something then disturbed the leopard and it disappeared into the bushes, but we'd had a good 10-15 minute sighting!

This large wartie was quite happy with us stopping right next to him.

While we were stopped on the high-level bridge someone told us to turn right at the end of the bridge for a special sighting....
