Then off for a camp inspection. I was also doing a story on pollen, so hovered around the flowers at reception like an idiot trying to get macro shots of flying insects, which is very difficult!
This maybe a bee...
So bah...and out onto the road again. The Faai loop actually begins at the tar road a way east of camp. Very private with lots of clouds!

Those units are old and slowly being replaced, Lis. Much cheaper as they have shared ablutions and kitchen!

I am so used to these roads by now!
But you never know what may be around the next corner...
The turnoff to a little loop that goes around a granite dome just east of the H2-2:
An old leadwood tree there!
And clouds moved in front of the sun again a bit later...this after an experimental km down the Voortrekker Road, whose corrugations made me turn around...

The Faai Stream held water all year at the first crossing.
And thankfully a pleasant sable surprise around a corner!
The bushes are a nightmare though...

And where the loop approaches the Manung Koppie:

Some of those pics are great, RP!
The Faai Stream, the old leadwood tree and the wildebeests crossing the road
