Thank you for all the help. It is appreciated.

I see there are many subspecies in the Trox genus. I will do some more research to identify which one it is.

Thank you once again and thank you to Prof. Braack

Welcome! Glad to see another member interested in insects :-0 :-0

Seems the Genus Omorgus and Trox both belong in the Family Trogidae (Carcass beetles), but have very different distribution areas, with little overlap, so that will be a key piece of the puzzle in the future.

Thanks for sharing ^Q^

0/0 Back at 'cha, kiddo \O Thank you for the warm welcome and the concern after the hurricane. O0

We returned to find we had no water (pump broken) so no baths or flushing toilets etc, refrigerators/freezers that had lost power, therefore we had to discard everything as a flourishing crop of mildew/mold had taken over, the gate to the property is broken, and the yard, gardens, etc are a wreck...but that's all material "stuff" that can be replaced, so we're just happy everyone is okay, unlike so many other places (Puerto Rico, etc)

Maybe some "new" species of insects flew in here on the wings of the winds -O- -O- ^Q^ ^Q^

(Can remove this 'cause it's off topic.... ;-) )
