I got one too, from Namibia, but only the body is striped, I ID mine "Racing Darkling Beetle"
so me too waiting for the ID

which is a: Hair Beetle, Carcass Beetle Omorgus asperulatus
Family: Trogidae

My son told me he thinks it is a Omorgus asperulatus but he wasn't 100% sure.

The one on the left is a beetle of the family Trogidae, genus Trox, and they feed on carcass leftovers in the late stage of decay, typically bits of sinew etc. Find them at carnivore dung scavenging on bits of undigested animal material as well. The one on the right is a toktokkie of sorts, not sure which one.
Your one is on the first one, Dewi's is the second.
