My apologies for the delay in posting this next episode.

Tuesday 3 November 2020
A massive storm hit Nossob that evening with many campers having to move into the ablution blocks for shelter as the high winds wreaked havoc with their tents. A total of 19mm of rain fell overnight.
Besides being kept awake by the storm, fortunately our tent withstood the storm and at gate opening time we were ready to go down south, around Maries for our morning drive.
Two male cheetahs were moving along the riverbed on the far side of the loop, marking their territory as they went along.

As usual, they were also quite far away, but they were great fun to watch, especially when they approached a herd of Rooi wildebeest, and we thought that we may see a hunt.
It was not to be.
The rest of the morning was uneventful and we returned to camp at lunch time for me to do some work.
The white faced owls were still in the tree

While I was working up at the reception area, Debbie spotted this cape cobra near the new premium campsites in the camp
We were very glad to see it moving AWAY from our campsite.
An evening drive for sundowners at Maries se Gat was really enjoyable, as was the sunset that evening

A nice cheetah sighting and a great sighting of the cobra. Normally they disappear before one has the time to take a photo

Another chilled day in the Kgalagadi.
The day started off with the moon setting over the dunes to the west.
We found these spotted eagle owls at the start of Maries se Draai.
They were there for the next few days.
