Hi Toko. Just to let you know that Joan and I were trying to tie up a standard rose in our garden in the dark. Suddenly Joan let out a yelp and said " I have been stung by a bee."

We came inside but could not see the sting in her finger but by now Joan said that it was like a red hot needle being pushed into her finger.

She applied an ice pack to the spot but the pain continued for another hour and half.

In the morning Joan went out to examine the rose bush and found about 10 of these worms chowing up the rose leaves.

I can only warn other readers to stay well clear of these guys.

Maybe this one, but I don't have a spider book for SA, so can await the real experts on this one. Great find! \O \O

Crab spider / Thomisus australis (Family Thomsidae). South Africa.

Lovely flower crab spider ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

These thingies can change their color and some of them can turn pink, so I don't claim I can ID it lol

It's a Flower Crab Spider and that's as near as I can get. Great shots of a very pretty creature ^Q^ ^Q^
