Quite interested to know this too .I had some similar homes on my home eves a while back

Could it possibly be the bagworm moths, also simply bagworms or bagmoths :

Spot on \O great sighting ^Q^ ^Q^

This is possibly the larva of Eumeta hardenbergi, the largest bagworm species in South Africa. Length of larva: 22-25 mm; Length of bag: ♂ 25-35 mm, ♀ 30-55 mm.

Larvae feed on indigenous thorntrees (but also like fruit trees and other food plants)

Robber Fly O:V O:V O:V

Can not ID it 0*\

Neolophonotus kalahari =O: =O: =O: would be a geographical match, but that's a wild guess

0/* Toko,
Your contact info. and suggestion that I email him was very helpful, as was he. Here's the reply:

"Hi Elaine
Nice photos!
Is a female - so poses some problems - However, it is probably a species of Daspletis or possibly even Anasillomos. I can't be certain without an actual specimen to key out. Sorry I can't be more help.
Best wishes
Jason" O0

Will write it up as such if I can find further info. on either genus. \O
