Friends of ours have just got back and there has been no rain since April 2018 when we were last there ..so these dunes in front of camp will not have this lovely carpet of Grass like the last 2 years but will be generally bare and red sand ..whicjh means long distances to drive to see stuff..Hopefully the Rooiputs Trough is working and that wont be the case ..We may have Mid Night visitors to the campsite looking for moisture ??

I put water out for the Finches ..But not for lions and Leopards and I empty the birdbath and take it in in the evening as the Lions will steal it while you sleep

Jane doing the daily Clothes wash behind the bathroom..Note the latest Italian Taps 'Imported' from Italy and the open air Bathroom enclosure ..Straight out of Top Living Magazine ..I was just checking if she was still there as it is 80 metres from the camp Site and a week earlier there was a lioness sleeping under the tree behind her.. The water is more salty than sea water and very hard ...The big cats drink out of the water run off below Jane as it seeps over those rocks/stones
