06.10.2014 continued
next we spotted a couple of swallow-tailed bee-eaters and stayed with them for about 45 vminutes
finally they even showed us their nesting site

at Kamfersboom a gemsbok was enquiring what t he bird is looking at
there was another sleepy lion at Monro

in the dunes we saw ant-eating chat
chat flycatcher
and a spike-heeled lark with breakfast

then at Kamfersboom we saw cheetahs again – it was the Top Cat Gang

we stopped at Auchterlonie and could see that it was raining in the distance

next there was an ostrich taking a dust bath
and another first were a cardinal woodpecker close to Montrose and a bokmakierie
and we had two lifers today as well with brubru and black-faced waxbill.

the morning drive took us North and turned out to be a birding drive. Our first sighting was a tawny
then there was a toko – collecting material for a nest?
