The kitties were strays and very wary of people, but I think these ones are very well looked after by SO's aunt. ;-) That was not a very nice part of the village, the rest was quite nice. :yes:

For our last afternoon, we went to Agrigento. On the way, SO's aunt stopped in the village next to Santa Elisabetta, Raffadali, to show us a street with our surname. O:V

Agrigento is on a hillside overlooking the Mediterranean. Looking at it from afar it's not a very attractive city, but once you start walking around there are some very pretty places, and we enjoyed walking around for a couple of hours.

We went to a restaurant in Raffadali for a dinner, which was most enjoyable. :yes:

After all Agrigento is a tourist place, so it has to keep up to certain standards. Like all this kind of places avoiding the suburbs is better ;-)

"Gueli" is definitely a name with it's roots in Sicily :yes:

That's for sure!! :yes: Just about every third person we saw in the village had our surname but weren't related! :-? lol

There are Gueli's all over the world ;-) A lot of immigrant were/are Sicilians. It has always been a poor "country".
