Nearer Tshokwane a fraction more clouds!
And a distant lioness not moving....a pretty backdrop!
One can really sit and watch the world go by at Kruger's biggest Picnic Spot:
With larney gardens!

We had to move it move it now...far too optimistic going from Olifants to Malelane in a day...
Down at Kwaggaspan:
There was a tourist car parked looking towards the other side of the road, they did not seem to notice the ellie moving across...
I tried to flash lights and take a pic at the same time...
They were not scared, obviously...
A magnificent specimen indeed!

Those ellies in Kruger are indeed very impressive especially when appearing that close to the car

You didn't get into trouble with your Savanna?

It was hot and sweaty and far!
Kwaggaspan itself:
Plenty scenery on the tar down to Malelane!
We stopped for a long time at this korhaan - the family were highly entertained by its ridiculous singing performance!

At the camp! One has to open the gate oneself, thanks Prinswilliam!

The camp is not in a good state at all...I put some other pics up on the relevant thread...
The grass is unkempt:
And the monkeys are the most aggressive I've ever encountered in my life!
But so green and lush! We sat on a derelict bench at the fence, with ellies trumpeting in the river:
The accommodation was none too pleasant either, I'm afraid. There is little space to operate, the furniture and electric setup in the hut was inadequate, there is NO possibility of any light outside while braaiing, etc. etc.
The last night wasn't that much fun at all, in fact maybe it's just because we had overdone it all week!
Next morning we left excrutiatingly slowly as the madah and bradah were in extended slow faffing mode. But a nice farewell!
The End of this trip!
