You have some super photographs of Kruger creatures, Sprocky. I specially like the one of the sandgrouse couple with baby.

Thank you all once again for the kind comments. \O

This morning we headed up to Mooiplaas for a skottel breakfast. Me, the SO, J-lee, Mbechu and dodi. O/\ We had the most amazing breakfast at the lapa looking over the river. I also managed to get a fair variety of photos of animals and birds. ;-)

Lets start with the sunrise just after entering the gate.

Image

An African Jacana at Sable Dam.

Image

Also at the dam, this Thick-knee became very vocal when I got close.

Image

In the distance on the road I saw something. It looked like a long bent pool noodle. It ended up being a snake of about 2.5m long and quite thick. I think it is a Snouted Cobra, but I may be wrong. :-?

Image

Next we came across a den, there were three adult Hyena, two youngsters and a lot of noise from the pups, but we could only hear them.

Next up was a breeding herd and this youngster thought that he was much bigger and older.

A Fish Eagle enjoying a spot of shade.

Image

It is very dry at the moment and this Tsessebe was heading for the water.

Image

This Chestnut-backed Sparrowlark was foraging for food.

Image

And the last pic for today is this Kudu bull enjoying a snack.
