Apparently Picasso spent time in Noto.

We didn't go to Messina or Taormina, and we only saw the Eoli islands from the mainland.

You were visiting family, so had limited freedom of movement

2 English teachers together!

What a privilege for you, Flutts!
Your first ever volcano?
The eyeties look like quite a skinny and attractive bunch in general?
I like the white church too!

Yes, English teachers are so rare in Italy!

My first volcano...unless you count Pilanesberg!

This idea that pasta is fattening is nonsense.

Most Italians eat pasta everyday as a first course and then still have a second course, and very few of them are overweight!

But they eat very little meat, use mainly olive oil to cook with, and eat lots of veggies and fruit.

The Mediterranean Diet is famous and used by a lot of sportsmen all over the world. Unfortunately it is less used these days, because of lack of time and easy "to get and cheap" trash food. Especially the children are getting fatter

Diet for you, RP
- Eating primarily plant-based foods, such as fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes and nuts
- Replacing butter with healthy fats such as olive oil and canola oil
- Using herbs and spices instead of salt to flavor foods
- Limiting red meat to no more than a few times a month
- Eating fish and poultry at least twice a week
- Enjoying meals with family and friends
- Drinking red wine in moderation (optional)
- Getting plenty of exercise
and a nice snooze afterwards

I do most of that, except the exercise!
Plenty poultry!
