I see there's no anti venom for this snake. Like the boomslang, the venom of this snake is haemotoxic affecting the blood clotting mechanism causing uncontrolled bleeding

Next trip to the bush??

Let me think......................

Also known as a twig snake - they obviously rely on cammo! The venom fangs are at the back so your chances of being poisoned are remote... :-0

I still wouldn't take a chance with it! ^0^

Have you added this snake to the reptile challenge? ;-)

A few weeks later we were back, this time for one of those idiotic trips....leachy, Dwarf and I met a friend for a very jolly supper at Galito's in town and organised a visit, but the next day nobody could remember exactly why... :-? 0-

Anyway, I duly booked. O** 0:

leachy picked me up after school and off we went in HMS Herpes V, taking the Numbi road which I can by now drive blindfolded! lol

DW: "Triing triing!"

RP: "What? Where are you?"

DW: "I'm near Middelburg, so may be a bit late..."

RP: "WHAT?"

DW: " I had a meeting and so maybe organise me a late permit and..."

RP: "Click."

So Dwarf came in the next morning. :O^

The weather was far more pleasant, with fewer clouds! ;-)

Off to book in at PK...our first animals near the camp!

Notice the classic "square" forehead of the cow:

And she had big tusks for a womans!

After book-in we went on the hyena loop to check up on them. This time new visitors! 0/0

The one bull was the oldest buffalo I have ever seen in my life, and was certainly not fazed by anything in his way!

Gloser and Gloser!

We won the game of chicken, so he moved 50cm to his left!

It was very pleasant, felt like being back on the farm! lol

Unusual effect here, with sun reflecting in mirror! :-0

Leachy has played with this face a bit himself. It is my favourite personal pic of 2018, a mishmash of light and colours and messages! [O]
