After my illness of the previous night I had woken up feeling totally fine, but during the course of the morning I started getting stomach cramps which were getting worse and worse. I had taken some painkillers earlier on but they didn't seem to work, so I switched places with the Brat so I could lie down on the back seat!

After Kumana, which also had lots of water

There were six lionesses squeezed into the shade of this tree, and then we noticed some cubs lying in a muddy patch. One by one, they came towards us so settle behind a clump of bushes. We counted 6 cubs. Thankfully, I was also starting to feel a bit better.

A large male then came out of the bushes only to disappear again.

We could see a lot of movement in the bushes where the cubs had gone and soon another lioness appeared from behind the bushes and settled down in front.

We had been with the lions for quite long so decided to rather take the quicker route towards Satara and then take the H7. Just after pulling away someone stopped us to show us where the male lion had settled in the shade, with another male! So we had seen 15 lions there!

Back on the H1-3, at the Sweni Bridge, a few cars were stopped and we saw a male lion cross the road and disappear into the bush.

The H7 was very quiet, as it always is for us
