Right... I do adore your leopard and lion sightings in quick order. And I perfectly understand your excitement with the big cats despite the mayhem at the leopard sighting. First I thought that I would have left at least a lion sighting when the traffic gets too much. But to be honest - I never did in the first couple of years. And I'm not sure I'd leave a leopard these days when there are too many cars around.

Sure, having a big at on your own is always much nicer. And I'm sure that with each visit the likability of that increases.

Also like the herd of elephants.
Oops, starting to ramble here. I was about to say "right, I adore your...blabla... but I'm curious to see if you really managed to not miss a single sunrise or sunset". Then I'm in what I'm a real sucker for... African colours.

No matter how well you prepare and plan, adjusting to a vehicle and how to make it as comfortable as possible with all of the required bits for a game drive can only come with practice, this was a priority the next morning.
Up at four, I wandered out into the cool dark morning and "BANG" I smashed my knee into the post railing that surrounds the tent kitchen, I cursed loudly and then repeated the expletive through clenched teeth at the stupid pole, which stupid person put that thing there during the night while I wasn't looking %&^#*@.... Then I realized that the headlamp that was on my head was not on, which would have avoided the whole unpleasant incident, so I repeated my diatribe as I hobbled to the car, convinced that everyone within 100 meters of our tent was now awake.
So I sorted the car as best I could with cameras between the seats on a pillow, cool box on the back seat, had a shower and a quick cup of coffee and we hit the gate still muttering to my SO.

Still muttering at the pain in my knee we were the 3rd car through the gate and made our way up the H4-. About 10 kays on we stopped briefly to catch the morning light reflecting off these vultures who looked so peaceful and in fact quite beautiful, as they too slowly were adapting to the new day.
