Back at camp we spent some time relaxing by the pool and in conversations with others discovered that both leopard and cheetah had been seen along the Auob road. The leopard was apparently in a tree and the cheetah only about 200m away sleeping under another tree. That would definitely be our afternoon direction then
We spent some time sorting things out at camp and saw this rather cool gecko by the bathrooms. There appeared to have been a bit of a gecko fight so its tail was incomplete
Our first sightings on the afternoon drive were ground squirrels and a yellow mongoose
It didn't take long to find the cheetah snoozing under a bush
This is Hanri - thanks for the ID Mel
We had gone past the tree where the leopard was supposedly sleeping. Hanri was now further away from it than in the morning, so we back-tracked to see if we could see any sign of it...
There appeared to be absolutely no sign of a leopard anywhere in the tree that we could see, so we decided that the best bet would be to hang out by Hanri to see if she would move at all. We were in luck... after a while she got up and started walking along the riverbed

Re: Finally KTP
How fit Hanri is considering her age - amazing
Still my favourite cheetah. She's always treated us well
(in contrast to her sister Corinne who would go AWOL on us on more than just one trip )
