Got some more details...can't find the link though...this is not just a small thing...up to 70 overnight guests at a time, or more...the operating company will bring in more coaches!

And the existing f-ing steam engine will be refurbished, presumably to pull the train over the bridge? 0:

Haven't taken train since army days but if I recall correctly the coaches took at least 30 people could be more. There were 4 x 6 sleepers rooms and at least 2 x 3 sleeper rooms.

O** O** to stop my army buddies going to sleep instead of staying up drinking, I threw all their bedding out window on trip back to Bloemfontein. O** O** =O: =O:

It's going to be larney, Robert! lol

Quite ironic, I watched a jet landing from our very expensive guesthouse end 2014...so now it's trains, planes and automobiles! =O:

Bridge plans a grave concern for KNP purists

It would include an additional 10 coaches that would move from the present unused platform at Selati onto the bridge at night.

SKUKUZA – Kruger National Park (KNP) purists are up in arms about a proposed SANParks plan to allow guests to sleep on the Selati Bridge in train coaches. The SAR Class 24 locomotive known as The Grand Old Lady, which made its last stop at Selati Station in 1978, would form part of the planned Selati Precinct Development (SPD).

It would include an additional 10 coaches that would move from the present unused platform at Selati onto the bridge at night. The coaches would move back in the morning for breakfast at the restaurant on the platform. This would offer guests spectacular views of the Sabie River and Skukuza area. Between 42 and 76 beds would be available to tourists in these coaches.
