Roger and co. arrived safely in Kruger, but will they also return?

(By now we know that Roger & co. have returned, but the Landy?

)

A little further down another ele stood next to the road trying to pull the small remaining leaves off of a small tree that had been pushed over :
A young impi was trying to find some greenery
Mom was also nearby
The ellie was very calm as were all the others we found during the trip.It made a huge difference from our trip the previous year .I believe they were too hot and possibly thirsty to expend any effort on vehicles .This was not too much to my youngest rugrats liking as we were able to approach and spend allot of time close too them without them showing any signs of agitation

.also should say that as we were on/off during planning we were unable to loan the 400mm lens we had access to previously so all these were shot with a 200mm lens .

The impi mom looks rather skinny

No green grass
Nice ellie and giraffes, who can eat high up

There was very little grass around many areas most noticeable closer to water sources the grass had all been eaten .

Alf wrote:Elephants that knows how to behave

Ja we though maybe as we had fixed so much on the Landy it was not quite as noisy at first so they were not that upset by it

Yip and as usual plenty more Ellies to come ...
