Staying at MM, we went for an afternoon drive, again being virtually the only people in KTP, and came across two young rangers in a Landie who were doing lion research. They had two punctures but only one spare wheel. Our spare (we were also in a landie) fitted perfectly, so we travelled back to MM with them. Lovely young lads, and very grateful! They would have been rescued anyway, but we saved the ranger a trip and made some new friends!

Not good at posting pics, especially with right hand in plaster! This is our faithful pimple that followed us all over SA and Namibia for many years. He deserved a medal! On retirement he worked as a spare room!!

I think we bought him around 1976 but he was already second-hand! We had wonderful times with him and were sorry to say goodbye in 1994!
No one, apart from Nan, has any memories?
You must all be very young or have made your memories into TR's. Our TR's are so old, they have almost faded into the mists of time, remaining only physically on crumbling, yellowing paper in photo albums that have lost their stickiness, with faded Kodak pictures - nostalgia in buckets!

My memories don't go that far back as we only started game parking in 1994. Our first trip to KTP was in June 1995. It was freezing and we came with a borrowed tent and blow up lilo for a matress. We didn't have a pump and ran out of breath trying to blow it up so decided to just use it as a groundsheet. The temperature was -4 degrees C. We climbed into our sleeping bags fully dressed including jackets and beanies! Still we had an amazing time and have returned almost every year since then.
