To translate the heading - We flew with Qantas Airways from Johannesburg to Sydney. We then had two hours to get through customs and security and catch a bus to the domestic terminal where we boarded Jet Star airlines to Sunshine Coast airport near Maroochydore which is about 100 km's north of Brisbane. We stayed with our son, daughter in law and granddaughter for the whole month. We did not travel far from Maroochydore - to Noosa in the north and Brisbane in the south.

This is going to be more of a photo album than a diary of where we went and what we did. We are also going to group the photos in categories instead of the photos of each day.

The first category which will have 75 photos so be prepared.

Birds of Australia. Suburban and wild.

I only have a small Australian bird book so if we can find the name of the bird we will mention if not we will mark it as "unidentified". Please correct us if we are wrong.

Silver Seagull.
