Day5:
We were in two minds to take the S1 again
and go down the S65 to see if we would have luck with the cats
and just as well we did, we spotted this group of 8 lions crossing the road.
They were very accommodating as they stopped on the side of the road and licked the dew of the grass
, waited for me to change the lens on the camera as the 150-500mm was not able to get them in being so close
and then went down the side and lay around for a bit,
we thought they were stalking a herd of Zebra up the way
only to see them duck off into the bush where we got them in the background of a rhino sighting

We had heard of a hyena den close to the S11 so headed to that area
, we found them just on the side of the road, at first I did notice the baby between her legs
, the mother was a bit skittish and went into the den under the road. As we were sitting waiting for her to come out again a car pulled up and informed us that there was hyenas about 500m up the road
we thought this was the sighting , so off we went to see if that would be a better sighting…

And then the second sighting…it was worth going to check
