Day5:
We were in two minds to take the S1 again :O^ :O^ and go down the S65 to see if we would have luck with the cats 0*\ :-? and just as well we did, we spotted this group of 8 lions crossing the road. O/\ O/\ O/\ They were very accommodating as they stopped on the side of the road and licked the dew of the grass ^Q^ ^Q^ , waited for me to change the lens on the camera as the 150-500mm was not able to get them in being so close 0*\ 0*\ and then went down the side and lay around for a bit, ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^ we thought they were stalking a herd of Zebra up the way    only to see them duck off into the bush where we got them in the background of a rhino sighting ^Q^ O/\ O\/

We had heard of a hyena den close to the S11 so headed to that area O** O** , we found them just on the side of the road, at first I did notice the baby between her legs  :O^ , the mother was a bit skittish and went into the den under the road. As we were sitting waiting for her to come out again a car pulled up and informed us that there was hyenas about 500m up the road   we thought this was the sighting , so off we went to see if that would be a better sighting… O** O**

And then the second sighting…it was worth going to check ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

Suprb, JN! ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

Lions suffer a bit if it's wet, ie summer, as prey disperses. You can see their condition is not that good... O-/

So burnt areas with new grass are a good source of prey! Water points are deserted! \O

Great seeing Bourke's Luck again - it seems the water level is low... maybe before the December rains. \O

Great waterfall pics O:V
