Another really rare sighting seen is the banded mongoose. Also not on the list.
No pix from my side though as I wasn't the lucky one. 0*\

These two rats are very similar in appearance and occur over much of the same range, but have been shown to be genetically distinct. Any further info. is welcome.

So I think, we label the rat as Black-tailed Tree Rat (Acacia Rat) Thallomys paedulcus

Taxonomic Notes: Thallomys paedulcus possibly represents a complex of several similar species. Further studies are needed to clarify the taxonomic status of populations currently allocated to this species.
