for the help with ID's one day I will spend more time on learning more birds
At Leeupan we found an Impala with a bad case of Mange
A heron and some ducks were in the water
While this Knobhorn Duck was on the shore with some others
A Chameleon was crossing the road
Some boon interaction on the road down to Orpen camp check in
This Bateleur was eating something with Feathers
Down a little gully this Green Back Heron was nesting
While above this Monkey was eating some berries in the Palm
Some pink flowers in the grass just for SO her favorite color .
We found some young ellie playing Push me push you
We checked in at Orpen and drove to Tamboti This was the first time we were staying in the units with Kitchen and bathroom as it was on sale at the time we could upgrade to this unit . The camp road was in a very poor condition and the grass was as high as the fence along the road but we were fortunate to Get unit 34 a newly renovated unit and the welcoming crew was waiting to welcome us .
The view from the deck

I love the pics of the Grey heron and the pochards (I think) and also the knob-billed duck with all the white-faced ducks.
Interesting to see the green-backed heron on the nest

Never seen before.
Lovely flowers
Was the hyena asking for a lift?

We unpacked and went out for a drive .
There was allot of vultures about .This tree was full of them (before) we could not see anything there but assume there was a kill behind the tree line .
We drove down to the S106 and found some big birds first time we had seen them around Orpen
and a lovely BeeEater
We turned around and headed back towards camp as it was quite late .Getting back to where all the vultures were we noticed a change to the Vulture tree .It seems they had overloaded the dead branch and it had fallen off .
On the other side of the road passed the camp turnoff there had been a Zebra carcass .We had seen it when checking in but there was no predation on it and it had a straight cut through its belly which to me indicated it was possibly roadkill that the rangers had dragged off the road and opened . We headed back to see if anything had arrived to it .The only visitor was a singe Vulture in a tree trying to figure out what was going on .
We could not stay any longer due to gate closing time but were sure there would be some night time visitors so decided we would come back in the morning .
On the camp road some new Gnu
Our favorite night visitor

The vultures are all looking in the same direction, as if they are waiting for something.
Lovely pic of the two ostriches and also the white-headed vulture
