I was just about to write "more a lion trip than the usual leopard one", when Albert shouted "Leopard" and it was a beautiful leopard at that and great pics

It's a puzzle for me that the OSV jockeys don't tell their guests to be calm and quiet, as the experience would be much better for everybody

Luckily the Cow is a bird lover It is a strange model the one half weaver and half something greenish Probably a weaver anyway

Yes Lisbeth, you are correct, this was more of a "lion" trip. We had 2 days in total with no leopard sightings and we only got 9 or 10 leopard which is less than we normally get on a trip of this timeframe

That bird is a Collared Sunbird, but it does look like a weaver cross

Ja, that male lion wasn't very enthusiastic

Eloff street can be a nightmare, especially after 9:30/10am, so we try and make sure that we are on another road if out after 10am.

The GC6 we book is right next to Moni, if facing the Sabie, it's on the right of Moni. The roof collapse was Nyathi guest house which is the big bucks spot in front of the Kruger Station restaurant. The GC6 we book is the same price as the standard GC4V units.

It's a pity about the number of OSV's on the H4-1 in the dry months, but I suppose they drive the H4-1 for the same reasons we do in the dry months because everything moves closer to the water. We find that the H4-1 is relatively quiet during the summer months. A guide once told me that he only drives the H4-1 from May to November for the same reason.

@Bushcraft - Those osv are an absolute nightmare.
I think I may have mentioned in my trip report, but they have now "colonised" every single get out point.
The camps and Afsaal was where they used to let their guests get off.
This trip, we stopped at Mlondozi. Total nightmare. No where to park, no where to sit, just so many people all yapping at the tops of their voices. Even the pest Vervets had disappeared.

It used to be such a nice place to sit on the hilltop and take in the view.
But this time.......

On a more positive note.....fantastic Leopard sighting

I was actually quite impressed with the OSV drivers on our latest trip. Most were very considerate, friendly and helpful.

Plenty OSV drivers are very considerate, helpful, etc, and there's just a few that think they own the park, especially from 2 particular companies.

Not kidding, many previous trips produced over 20 leopard in the same timeframe, so this trip didn't match up with regards to leopard sightings. I have also mellowed with age, so we don't search like we used to.
