The reason........
Two lionesses were busy drinking at the waterhole. One was really old and the other one much younger.
They obviously were not at all welcome as the couple quickly got up and started approaching the two lionesses

They did not seem to have a problem with the old lady, who moved off to the side, however it was a completely different story with the other.
What happened next was really incredible.
The two gave chase and along with a lot of roaring, they chased he lioness a good three kilometres down the road back towards Rooiputs.
At this stage we were the only vehicle bar one at the sighting

Eventually they disappeared over the dune into Botswana
