Kanga camp

Post by Alf »

This camp is built at the only water source in the area. There’s a wooden deck where guests can relax and let the animals come to them to drink water

Those elephants must be rather tame, because there is nothing to stop them

Kanga Camp - Mana Pools.

The elephants see the guests as part of the lodge so are quite relaxed. You cannot get that close to them on foot or in the game vehicle.

It is the only camp in the area and is inland from the river. Poaching was extremely high before the lodge was built (interestingly at the request of the authorities to decrease poaching). Perhaps the elephants are aware of this and are thankful for it being there :-)

SADC rates are a little cheaper at $350pppn
