Re: A Collective Effort Against Snares in Kruger
It is ironic that the snarers are shot dead quite often, as they move through the rhino battleground. So they get a quick death?

Re: A Collective Effort Against Snares in Kruger
Maybe a death sentence is a bit exaggerated for snaring, but there ought to be at least a BIG fine, which they cannot pay but then they go to jail
Is snaring at all punishable?

The 'Animals Protection Act 71 of 1962' covers snaring as well.

Great News
The elephant with a snare reported early this morning on the S100 has been located, darted, treated and released again and should make a good recovery.
All our thanks to Enough is Enough, the rangers, vets and Elize from Bushbaby Adventures for all the hard work today.
